Paris Hilton: I'm Still in Love with Benji Madden

Paris Hilton and Benji Madden may have broken up, but they're still close friends, she said Friday. "You know, I love him. He's such an amazing man and he's my best friend and he's been so great to me and so loyal," Hilton said Friday on Ryan Seacrest's Kiis F.M. radio show. "He's an incredible person. We'll always be very close. We'll see what happens in the future. I'm still in love with him." Asked what happened, Hilton cited busy work schedules and lots of travel as the reason behind their split. "We're both working so much," she told Seacrest.

David Duchovny Kills Tabloid Beef

David Duchovny has dropped the $1 million defamation lawsuit he filed last month against the U.K.'s Daily Mail over a bogus story that claimed he had an extramarital dalliance with a tennis instructor. The tabloid printed an apologetic retraction Monday, acknowledging that its Oct. 19 item about the X-Files star and Edith Pakay was bogus. Robert Pattinson was intimidated to audition for the role of Twilight's leading man — and his confidence didn't get a boost when fans decried his casting.

The uneasiness started before he was even cast as Edward Cullen, when he read 50 pages of the original vampire book.

"Even in the synopsis," he told reporters, "it's like, 'Edward is the perfect being. He's so witty and beautiful, and so crazy, he's funny, he'll open doors for you and stuff," adding with a laugh, "'He'll drive you in his Volvo.'"
